Do you have availability?

Please use our booking site to check for availability. Click the big blue ‘BOOK NOW’ button or click HERE. You can visit our booking site and selecting the dates you are looking to stay. The available campsites, parking and mooring will be displayed on the map only after you input how many people are in your booking.

I’ve booked parking - do the check-in/out times apply?

No. Check-in/out times are for campground sites only. If you are arriving for parking outside office hours, please print your booking confirmation to display on your dash when you arrive.

How many people can go in a site?

Drive in tent sites are suitable for up to 4 adults, 2 tents and 1 vehicle.

Tent Platforms are suitable for up to 2 adults and 1 tent. Each tent platform has a dedicated space for 1 vehicle to park.

Additional vehicles can be added on and parked in our lots.

Can I just sleep in my car in the parking lot?

No. We do not allow any sort of camping in our parking lots, at any time of year, in any type of vehicle.

If you wish to stay the night at Secret Beach, you must book into a suitable tent/RV site for your needs.

If you book a vehicle parking space (PM, PK, PL, M) with intent to use it as your overnight accommodation, you will not be allowed to do so.

Do you sell Parks Canada Passes?

We do sell Pacific Rim Parks Canada day and annual passes in our office from 9AM-6PM everyday of the week. These are just for access to the Pacific Rim Parks, not for all parks across Canada. If you are looking for Nation wide Parks Canada passes we also sell the Discovery passes at our office. - Please see our ‘RATES’ page for pricing.

What if we arrive after check in time?

If you have already booked in online you can pick up your check-in slip from the office door and proceed directly to your booked campsite or mooring.

If you are using our site you are expected to follow our Campground Rules, regardless of late/early arrival. The Campground rules are on the office door AND a link to them is on your booking confirmation email.

If you need to book after office hours please use our guest wi-fi at the office and use the ‘BOOK NOW’ button to book online and proceed to your booked campsite. Our gate closes at 10pm, however it is not locked and you can open it, drive through and close it behind you.

What if I am having trouble using your site?

Please note the booking site works best on a computer or a laptop. If you have tried using a computer or laptop and you are still experiencing issues please feel free to contact us at secretbeach@toquaht.ca.

What facilities do you have on site?

Please check the ‘AMENITIES’ page to view all of our facilities.

What if I need to change or extend my booking?

To amend or extend your booking you can log into your account on our booking site to edit your booking yourself. Additionally, you can email, call or come to the office and we can help you amend your booking. Please make sure you note your booking ID number on your booking confirmation receipt when you need to amend your booking.

Can I put a tent on a ‘multi-use’ site?

Yes, you can put up to 2 tents on a multi-use site. The K# sites and the sites that are just a # you can have 2 tents on the site. Our Tent Platforms are a little smaller and will typically only hold 1 tent, these are called TP#.

Can we have fires?

Yes, if we are not under a fire ban then you can have fires on your campsite. No fires are allowed at any time on the tent platforms. When we are under a fire ban, a fine of $1150.00 will be in place. For fire ban updates please see the government website by clicking HERE.

What is a Red Tide and can I eat the shellfish?

A Red Tide is an algae bloom that can be very hazardous to humans, animals and sea-life. During a Red Tide if you eat the shellfish it can have serious health implications. You can find more information HERE.

Are we under a fire ban?

YES.

Is my propane fire pit allowed during a fire ban?

During a fire ban, you may be permitted to use a propane fire pit. It is your responsibility as an individual to ensure that your propane fire pit conforms to current B.C Government standards. You can find these online at the B.C Government Fire Prohibitions and Restrictions page.

Do you have showers on site?

Yes we do! There are 2 showers available for customers located at the Cook House on the Main Campground, and a brand new washroom block at the Kayak Launch.

Can I charge my EV?

Though we hope to install EV charging facilities in the future, EV charging stations are not currently available.
